Bluebell Group and Messika announce partnership to enter Korean luxury jewellery market

June 20, 2024 – Bluebell Group, leading Asian brand operator, announced today its partnership with Messika, contemporary French luxury jewellery maison, marking the brand’s entry into the Korean domestic market. A natural progression of the existing successful collaboration between Messika and Bluebell Korea in the Korean Duty Free Market since 2022, the first domestic boutique opened its doors on June 20th of this year.

Presenting its iconic signature Move collection, together with selected high jewellery pieces, for the first time to Korean jewellery lovers, the 66-square meter boutique presents itself on the 2nd floor of Lotte Avenuel World Tower. The design of the boutique reflects the brand’s minimalist elegance and opulence, featuring black and gold accents that underscore Messika’s modern and timeless luxury aesthetics. The Move collection, first launched in 2007, has become iconic with its unique concept around bezel-set diamonds which slide on an ingenious system of rails. This groundbreaking concept of moving diamonds has become the signature design of the maison, giving birth to some of the best-selling collections such as Move Classique, Move Uno, and Move Link.

Through this partnership, the Bluebell Group will work closely with Messika to handle the brand’s retail operations, marketing initiatives and future development of the brand domestically, by leveraging the Group’s local market local knowledge, networks and quality of service expertise in the luxury segment.

Founded by Valérie Messika, the maison has become a modern jewellery brand that has attracted an ever-widening audience with its avant-garde design and exceptional diamond knowledge.

“I’m very excited to open our first domestique boutique in Korea with our partner Bluebell, this is another milestone for Messika in Asia. Korea is a country with exquisite culture and very dynamic fashion trends, which is a strong DNA of the maison. This market will be an important pillar for us in Asia. With Bluebell we will present to Korean customer innovative design, excellent customer service and of course rich offers of diamond jewelries as always.”

ABOUT MESSIKA

Since 2005, Maison Messika has not stopped in its quest to innovate. With its avant-garde designs and exceptional diamond knowledge, the jewellery Maison has managed to attract an ever-widening audience across the last two decades, by pushing the boundaries of design excellence.

Driven by the desire to create modern jewellery and make diamonds more accessible, Valérie Messika launched her Maison in Paris in 2005. The Artistic Director wanted to shake up the traditions of luxury diamond jewellery, long confined to the tradition of engagement rings. The original idea which inspired her: was to make the diamond a wearable, everyday jewel, comfortable, feminine and easy to wear just like a fashion accessory.

The unique talent of Maison Messika also lies in its perfect expertise of gemstones. The daughter of the famous diamond merchant, André Messika, the founder and artistic director draws on more than 50 years of expertise in the world of diamonds. A strong family heritage underpins this unique jewellery Maison, and is a perfect example of generational diamond knowledge.

In 2007, Messika launched Move, a signature collection that has become iconic with its unique concept around bezel-set diamonds which slide on an ingenious system of rails. The immediately recognizable motif that has been available since 2007 in numerous collections and more than 270 models is a worldwide and unequivocal success.

Challenging the traditional jewellery industry, a strong brand identity and pushing the boundaries led Maison Messika to continue its growth. In 2013, the first boutique was opened in Paris, on rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, and the first High jewellery collection was launched. This was followed by the opening of its Parisian workshop in 2015 and international expansion. Messika now has more than 570 points of sale in 85 countries worldwide.

New collaborations, innovative designs, daring styles; Messika embarks on a visionary era for contemporary jewellery and High jewellery. Bold and intuitive, its artistic director, Valérie Messika, has been able to explore new horizons within diamond jewellery design, aligning the future with the present to create exceptional results.
