Davidoff Cigars expands its global footprint with a cutting-edge satellite store at Kansai International Airport

Hong Kong, December 2023. Davidoff Cigars, the world’s leading handmade premium cigar brand is set to broaden its presence in Japan with the first Davidoff of Geneva since 1911 retail satellite store at Kansai International Airport.

The new satellite with a 140-square-foot walk-in humidor marks the introduction of the first Davidoff of Geneva since 1911 concept store in the Japanese travel retail market. It is located within KIX Duty Free, a leading Japanese duty-free shop, in the newly developed Terminal 1 international airside area of Kansai International Airport.

“We are delighted to open our first Davidoff of Geneva since 1911 satellite store at Kansai International Airport in Japan. The store continues the Davidoff legacy of an inspiring place where travelers and aficionados meet from around the globe to enjoy unique brand and retail experiences”, explains Laurent de Rougemont, Managing Director of Davidoff Asia.

Designed in line with the globally standardized Davidoff of Geneva since 1911 retail concept, the new store invites cigar aficionados to shop in a stylishly elegant and contemporary environment, combining lush woods with natural materials in earthy tones reminiscent of the colour of the cigars. The large walk-in humidor features Oettinger Davidoff’s full brand portfolio, including the latest limited-edition cigars such as the Davidoff Year of the Dragon LE 2024. Furthermore, aficionados will find a dedicated spirits corner as well as a cigar accessory zone with a wide range of exquisite travel humidors, cigar cases and cutters.
